Recommended Coffee Equipment

I’m often asked how I prepare my coffee and which brewing gear I recommend. To help, I’ve put together a curated list of equipment that I personally use - or that, through extensive research, consistently ranks among the very best in the industry.

 Best Drip Coffee Maker

The Breville Precision Brewer. This is the one I personally use at home.

 Best Grinder

The Baratza Encore Burr Grinder. If you want the freshest coffee and want full control over the size of your grind, you have to use a burr grinder (not a blade grinder). The Baratza Encore is one of the best burr grinders out there.

Best Espresso Maker

The Breville Barista Express. Although I don't own this one yet, it's on my short list of items to buy soon.

Aeropress.jpg

Best Single Cup Maker

The AeroPress is a great option if you only want a cup or two and cleanup is a breeze. This is also a great option for travel.

The Trusty French Press

This is my favorite way to make coffee by far. It takes a little more time, but this method brings out the most flavor in my opinion.
